The short version
This is a static reference site. There are no accounts, no logins, no comment forms, and no shopping cart. We don't ask you for personal information, and we have no interest in building a profile of you. Anything covered below is the ordinary, minimal data involved in serving a website over the internet.
What we collect — and what we don't
We do not directly collect names, email addresses, or any personal details from you while you browse, because there's nothing on the site that asks for them. The only personal data we ever receive is what you choose to send us — for example, if you email us at [email protected] with a correction or question. In that case we hold your message and address only for as long as needed to reply.
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information when a page is requested — such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you viewed. This is generated by the act of serving the page and is used for security and to keep the site running, not to identify you personally.
Cookies and analytics
We aim to keep the site as cookie-light as possible. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites or to serve advertising. If we use analytics to understand which pages are read, we use it in a privacy-respecting, aggregate way — to count page views and rough trends, not to follow individuals. Where any non-essential cookies or analytics are in use, we will reflect that here and, where required, ask for your consent. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Third-party fonts and CDNs
To display the site's typefaces, we load web fonts from a third-party font service (Google Fonts), and some assets may be served via a content delivery network. When your browser fetches those resources, the provider necessarily receives your IP address and basic request information as part of delivering the files. These providers operate under their own privacy policies. We don't control their practices, and we share no additional information with them beyond what your browser sends to load the fonts and assets.
We don't sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to anyone, full stop. We aren't an advertising business and we have no data to monetise. The only sharing that happens is the technical kind described above — hosting, fonts, and CDN delivery — which is required to make the site load in your browser.
Your rights and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a site holds about you. Since the only personal data we tend to hold is correspondence you've sent us, you can ask us to delete that at any time. Email [email protected] and we'll handle the request.
Changes to this policy
If the site changes in a way that affects privacy — for example, if we add analytics or any interactive feature — we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
